The Justice Emmett Hall Memorial Foundation, in association with CAHSPR, CHLNet and CFHI, is pleased to announce the 2020 recipient of the MacNaught-Taillon (M&T) Emerging Patient Leader Bursary. This is the first year the bursary that accompanies the award has been directed to a patient leader and we have a tie. The highly deserving recipients
are Kim Daley and Payal Khazanchi. Kim is passionate about bringing the patient voice to healthcare and research including as a member of the University of Manitoba Chronic Disease Advisory Committee and later joining the National Chronic Disease Network, IMAGINE-SPOR as a patient research partner. Payal is a proud voice for newcomer families in Canada who have
children with special needs and has done extensive work with the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation hospital. Congratulations to both who will use the bursary to build their capacity as a leader and patient partner.
